I’ve got multiple ’It’s Christmas and that means we have to have turkey’ cunts in my family.
I take the legs off and bone them, then load them with sausagemeat stuffing. Best of a bad situation.
Turkey crown gets brined for a couple of days, then slow roasted till just done - rested for 90 minutes while the roast potatoes cook. Don’t bother with a starter.
There’s always way too much food on the table anyway.
Pudding = Bronson. Followed by a cheese plate much later in the day.
My mother, rest her soul etc etc, despite having no Irish family lineage, was of the 2 x potato options on Xmas day mentality. Mash and roasts. Her rationale was that mash made for a better bubble and squeak with the Christmas ham on Boxing Day. Fair fucks IMO.
