Amps All about comfort and fit, Amps. These fit me perfectly and not only helped me run a sub 4hr, but absolutely destroy it! All trainers fit differently though, so you have to get down the shops and try all on first.
No point wearing a £100+ pair of duds if you’re going to be walking over the finishing line
The trabs thread
I found ASICS were narrow for my fat flat feet. Have bee. Wearing brooks for the last 4 years and have never had any problem with them
Amps they may not look the best, but for running have a look at brooks.. they also sell a wide version, but have found the standard version wide enough for my feet
A lol for Brooks.
That’s what Loopy ran in.
Are Skechers any good?

Brown cords and stilton sauconys.
Genuinely bleak times.
LOL at Stilton colourway
Smalls - whenever you give Asics a shout, do you mean the Gel Kayano 14? Because I just got them for my walks, and they’re GOAT. Up there with my Zoom vomero 5s. Maybe better. Will post pics when I’m on my laptop.
Amps I had them years ago, I just had to stop for quite a while. There’s probably a more modern solution - they’re a bastard and sorry you’re suffering. God’s speed and all that
Ahhh, just read the thread, great minds eh @Amps. Ha. Which ones did you get eventually? I also got the fighter fish asics x carnival ones. But they’re not even close to comfortable as the gel kayano 14.
These were the ones I got for my dad, he loves em: https://www.kickscrew.com/asics-kiko-kostadinov-x-ub1-s-gel-kayano-14-graphite-grey-piedmont-grey-graphite-grey-1201a189-020.html
Re the shin splints, my best solution so far is to do some bike work before hand and then massage the fuck out of them before I start running. I think it’s my portly girth causing most of the issue.
