Any recommendations in the 10 to 20 quid a bottle range would be most welcome. Cheers
Matt You can get a nice Rjioca for £8. Campo Viejo Tempranillo Rioja is great example of a decent house red.
Baron de Ley Rioja Reserva.
Chianti Classico Isolde e Olena
Vintages don’t especially matter as the wines are so well made and very consistent. If I had to choose 2015 for the Rioja and 2016 for the Chianti
Along_the_Wire cheers mate. I’ll check them out.
Matt Frei Brothers Cabernet Sauvignon at Waitrose. Typical California style , but with a bit of edge.
vinnyt77 cheers Vinny!
Dan that’s not a good Rioja - for £5 more you get something fantastic.
Along_the_Wire El Piadoso Rioja Gran?
Wine…
The route of all snobbery.
Dan Can’t help but agree, but I definitely know what I like and what’s good value in those wines and varieties.
Dan Don’t know it, but always be suspicious of Gran Reservas under £20.
Hursty
Along_the_Wire It’s an old Weatherall quote.
I’m a cheapskate….she buys the decent stuff!
Doesn’t it all taste the same after 4 bottles, grant?
Millsy My PB is 3 and I not got near since - I felt fucking awful the next day
Along_the_Wire 3 bottles is some going. One and a few goes on the vaporizer and I’m fucked.
I did a bottle of Jamesons the other week….kin ell. Nearly killed me.
Dan Must have made a deal with the Devil if you’re still here!!
Matt I had to fly back from holiday for a major work issue - did the meeting, went home and played Gear of War MP for 6 hours straight and nailed the three bottles. Had to get a 7am flight back to Nice the next morning and it was a horror show.

I’m assuming the thin sheen of sweat on your fizzog earned a few nervous looks from the cabin crew?
Mad_Cyril Booze only hangovers are okay. Going into work on a Friday after a Bedrock in 98 was different gravy.
Along_the_Wire Know what you mean. But if my peepers are like saucers I’m not going to work!
Being in the office with the fear that you reek of booze, but cant tell, is pretty bad for paranoia!
Along_the_Wire Lightweight.
