LT42 Cavendish waving back at the guy that dropped off was gas, he’s really enjoying himself as Hursty says. After seeing Carapaz today my money would be on him tomorrow, he looks to have plenty in the tank.
LT42 Along_the_Wire As an armchair fan I don’t understand the tactical aspect enough, it adds to the fascination I suppose. VDP looks like he’s on a mission tbf and Pogacar won’t let the same happen tomorrow, you’d think.
Along_the_Wire LT42 The tactics are fantastic and a great part of the sport. Having raced a lot, I know just how fucking hard and painful a lot of it is - attacking and bridging over are deadly. Not many tactics in the amateur game mind, you’re kind of on your own - team tactics in the pros are mental.
LT42 Along_the_Wire I love it anyway, as I mentioned before the sportsmanship and team work is second to none. The effort and workrate is astonishing also of course, its mind boggling to think they’ll go out and do 150k tomorrow on those mountains after that effort today, and still a long way to go. Inspiring stuff.

LT42 Impressive ride from Poels so far, you’d have to have a fairly calm mind to be out there that long on your own
Along_the_Wire The pain of it all. Col de Romme is one of the hardest climbs I’ve ever done - it was at the end of a long day, but fuck me it’s steep.
Along_the_Wire LT42 I suspect drugs here, which is a shame - his TT performance was ridiculous, as is this. I hope he isn’t, this is an incredible performance here - he’ll probably win and will certainly be in yellow.
