Along_the_Wire Well according to health secretary in SA, there isn’t many going into hospital and they only have a 25% vaccine rate. Looking also at what Jules has shared its looking positive hopefully but highly transmitable.
Funky nothing changed in the announcements, so maybe they are paying attention to what’s going on in SA?

New study from Hong Kong finds Omicron grows 70x quicker in bronchial tissue than original and Delta variants “that could help explain its rapid transmission”, while on the flip-side it “grew 10 times slower in lung tissue, which the authors said could be an indicator of lower disease severity”.

Purely anecdotal but the people I know at work that have tested positive in the last week to ten days have barely broken stride. Certainly wasn’t the case with Delta.
