Not everything is laughter, smiles, rainbows, and Trisco, Ed. Tops on, unfortunately.
The General Covid19 Thread
I’ll be over next year to give the place a bit of the ole Smallman magic Jonatton.
Sunshine on a rainy day incoming!
A lol for MC!
If you listen hard enough, when Biden heads up the stairs, he says to the pilot “you know the drill, disc 1 at full volume.”
You could elect your saint Bernie and we’d be in the same spot.
This is a Republican problem and always has been. Nothing will ever change as long as the Electoral College, the Senate, and the House are weighted in places where nobody fucking lives. Get mad at Biden all you want, I, too, enjoy pissing in the wind.
jonattonyeah Bernie would use the executive order. Joe will not.
jonattonyeah Nothing will ever change as long as the Electoral College, the Senate, and the House are weighted in places where nobody fucking lives.
Or the Democrats could actually campaign and win those places?
Maybe actually convincing the rural working class they could enact policies that are good for them Instead of just appealing to your retarded coastal liberal echo chamber.
Executive orders for budgetary issues is a legal gray area. The Constitution gives the power of the purse to Congress.

jonattonyeah most everything FDR did was thru the executive. Joe could wipeout student debt and make weed legal like that.
Remember this guy?
Wipe out student debt? Where’s my free $75;000? Cap interest, yes. But nobody forced anyone to take out absurd loans for an art history degree at fucking Oberlin. Also does fuck all to address the real issue of education expenses (if anything, it would encourage more gouging as those loans are being paid one way or the other). Hey, those who came before and after? Fuck off. This select group get a gift, courtesy if you, because… reasons unbeknown to anyone.
A complete non-starter and an utterly daft idea.
Lol right. My dad died from polio, why should you get a vaccine?!
jonattonyeah most people taking out student loans these days are unrepresented when meeting with the bank, and are only doing so because they literally don’t know what else to do. The higher education machine is extremely similar to a virus.
zackster The higher education machine is extremely similar to a virus.
The mental gymnastics you had to do to get there were really remarkable, not heard anything like it since I was battered at 6am at an afters in my early 20s, listening to a communist who was picking the debris out of the grooves in a coffee table to try to construct one last spliff.
No interest and make college not something to be made profit from. That’s a solution. A random give-away to a few people because of timing doesn’t make any sense. What about the people in college now? Or in a few years from now? Or those who held off on buying a house to pay their loans? Screw them, yeah?
Also, you choose to go to a fancy private school, that’s your problem. I got accepted to one Ivy League school but didn’t qualify for a scholarship, so I went to a local public school that was affordable.
If you want to make a virus analogy, fine. Then it’s more like an STD. You go full raw dog with someone you just met? Well decisions have consequences.
It needs fixing. We’re on the same team here. I just don’t think a random giveaway gets us anywhere.
jonattonyeah We’re on the same team here.
Team absolute belter.
