I don’t know. That sort of aggregate, research-driven data is beyond my on-the-ground, programmatic “gaze”, for lack of a better term. I’m dealing with like 40 person outbreaks and stuff like that; nothing that can be extrapolated.
I know, given I was symptomatic, that I go in for CXR and blood tests once a month. Whether they’re looking specifically at the heart v. just general cardiovascular function I’m not sure about, but I can ask. I’ve been fine other than this lingering whatever that cannot be pinpointed. I’d guess MLB players are getting a far more comprehensive test. And I know they’ve also been heavily Latino. Telling you, they have it far worse for some unknown reason.
But to say .5 have heart damage? I’d love to see that data and what test they’re using. That just doesn’t pass the smell test. If there’s anything crazy about COVID, it’s how there’s nothing 50% about it. I mean, if it was 50% anything, great, that would make it easier to isolate.
