Jules72 No side effects, besides being lightly groggy some mornings. Even though not physically addictive, it certainly started feeling like I was getting dependent on it. Also, increasing the dosages as usage got more regular. If you need a hard reset on your sleep cycle, because you’re jetlagged or you had a couple of wonky late nights, I’d definitely recommend melatonin.
Magnesium is different because it has a lot of other benefits - muscle relaxant, great for the heart, definitely not as addictive mentally, and this might be subjective, but the sleep feels more natural. Can’t recommend it enough.
