NasserAlazzawi sounds like you’ve been very unlucky and got the proper arse-end of delta. My taste and smell still isn’t back properly from mid November last year. Reckon about 50% or so, but still can’t smell or taste certain things. Can’t smell my own farts for example, which is odd and unnerving.

Realised I’d lost my sense of smell when my other half came into my office one morning and nearly passed out due to a particularly pungent flurry of morning guffs and I couldn’t smell a thing…very unnerving.

LT42 I know as much as you, which is basically everything that’s on Twitter if you just search ‘Shanghai’, consolidated by reports from various people I know there.

I am in Beijing and currently everyone is having weekly covid tests (usually required by employers, in some cases the instruction is from the residential committee, basically local busybodies), and movement of goods and people in and out of the capital is very slow and only possible if you have a good reason - in other words, twitchy bums!

I have had groceries delivered today with a particular ‘lockdown focus’ - about 20 tins of stuff like chopped tomatoes, kidney beans etc, loads of pasta, rice, quinoa (basically a variety of staples that last a long time), and my freezer is bunged up to the top with steaks, lamb chops, chicken breast etc
