I am in Beijing and currently everyone is having weekly covid tests (usually required by employers, in some cases the instruction is from the residential committee, basically local busybodies), and movement of goods and people in and out of the capital is very slow and only possible if you have a good reason - in other words, twitchy bums!
I have had groceries delivered today with a particular ‘lockdown focus’ - about 20 tins of stuff like chopped tomatoes, kidney beans etc, loads of pasta, rice, quinoa (basically a variety of staples that last a long time), and my freezer is bunged up to the top with steaks, lamb chops, chicken breast etc
