Thereās a myriad of factors here. To say one is more effective than the other is too far a blanket statement and frankly quite stupid.
Oh, so his claim to fame is the British political blog Iain Daleās Diary.
How neat. And completely disregarded.
Thereās also a price point issue. I canāt speak to Europe, but weāre buying Pfizer in bulk because, despite its higher cost, they have the capacity to develop A LOT of vaccines, with a better distribution network, and quickly - itāll be cheaper in the long run.
To get it spats about this, that, or the other, when theyāve all been shown to be 85%+ effective, is, once again, politicizing a public health issue. The amount of money involved is also staggering. There are a lot of people who stand to make a lot of money if AZ is used more than Pfizer, and vice versa.
The only scandal I see is a complete wound like āIain Daleā being given a pulpit to spout nonsense that heās utterly uniformed about. But a āpolitical blogger ā pontificating on Twitter about vaccinations speaks for itself, doesnāt it?
Fall in a volcano, Ian, with that second unnecessary āiā.
