alistair I’d agree with that. People delayed seeking help for other treatable conditions, cancers got diagnosed later. Seems quite plausible and I have to say second time round there was more covid in the hospital but other services still carried on.
a health and social care system pared back to its bare minimum and expected to pivot to cope with a global pandemic with 6 weeks to prepare.
