Just home from jab number one. It was the dreaded AZ. Had a wank there and some diarrhea came out. Apart from that all seems good so far. If I die tonight I love you all.

Looks like I don’t even have a chance of trying the AZ. They’re pretty much ruled out giving it to anyone under 65. Ditto with the J&J. I would have loved just one shot. Pfizer gives best immunity though, that’s what most are getting here.

That is also used here, but the volume is quite low. Pfizer seems to have the most powerful factories.

For me I’ll take any vaccine. AZ set back will probably set back Finland a month of the goal of one shot for every willing citizen over 16 by July.

If you can’t get ModeRNA I would defo be after the Pfizer.

zackster nice…. issue in the U.K. is we only get second vaccines after three months not the one.. still, I’d guess we still have decent protection against serious illness after one. The other issue is the SA variant which is at large just round the corner from here in Wandsworth

Can’t help but think that market based solutions to healthcare would have you in a much better place.

        I agree.

Privatise the NHS and make health care better and fairer for all.

Well for some positivity, as of tomorrow we will be at zero Covid hospitalizations. We have some variant strains floating about but they have mostly been very mild. Vaccinations open to anyone over 16. Trisco “Musak” in these parts.

Get a sparc post on the go, jy. Wind dave up to to celebrate the good news. As a yin,.to the good news yang, I’m still alive.

It doesn’t wind me up, I just think it’s worth pointing out to the pre-senile dementia boring cunt that he did the same ‘joke’ an hour earlier. And an hour before that. And an hour before that… and the previous day, six times.

zackster i sort of agree? It would be good if well off people had to pay at least something towards the costs of their healthcare for example. Right? Is that a controversial opinion, that the rich shouldn’t get free stuff?

Another potential benefit could be: people might potentially think twice before drinking that third bottle of wine or snorting that fourth wrap of cannabis. They might think, “hey, you know what, if I get sick this might actually cost ME something instead of some other guy. fuck that, dude.”

C_J that the rich shouldn’t get free stuff?

That’s a laughably disingenuous point, and you know it.

Would you like to tell everyone exactly what you mean by that, David?

C_J Would you like to tell everyone exactly what you mean by that, David?

Yes, although you don’t need me to.

You make out that a good reason for private healthcare is to make those damn rich pay for their healthcare properly! (er, they do in a progressive tax system)

So spare us that bollocks argument at least, if you’re going to argue that the NHS should be privatised.
