zackster i sort of agree? It would be good if well off people had to pay at least something towards the costs of their healthcare for example. Right? Is that a controversial opinion, that the rich shouldn’t get free stuff?
Another potential benefit could be: people might potentially think twice before drinking that third bottle of wine or snorting that fourth wrap of cannabis. They might think, “hey, you know what, if I get sick this might actually cost ME something instead of some other guy. fuck that, dude.”
