303abuser there have been 1700 Indian variant positives so far and i think, correct me if I’m wrong, 17 have ended up in hospital …thats 1/100 then…. it was 0.035/100 at the peak earlier this year. I have no idea whether the recent admissions are merely precautionary but 1/100 doesn’t sound good to me. And the sample is way too small so far to know if vaccines are working. Flipside is in labs at least, vaccines seem to work albeit to diminished extent.
But given all that, I still don’t see why you throw fuel on the fire by opening up today. You wait a month…get more people vaccinated…and then reassess.
