Oasis were the inspiration behind ‘The Jacket’

Bonehead walks out in his synthetic leather formal shoes. This is history.

All sorts of winning those gems.

If you think 150 quid for an Oasis ticket is bad, I just met up with one of the Finns I know after the summer.

He said he had been to see Coldplay in Finland, 200 Euros a ticket. Fucking Coldplay. I laughed my arse off.

bosstrabs remember FIAT inflation lads, a quick check online returns the following

£50 in 1995 is equivalent of £130 today

Granted no one may have been paying £50 in 1995 but still, a fair increase

        Along_the_Wire Yeah, that’s about right.

Saw Oasis, Pulp, Blur, REM (Monster Tour), loads of bands around 94-95 and never remember it being more than 20 quid to see even big bands on arena tours.

To tie in with the Cream thread, when I started going to Cream around 97 it was always a tenner, or maybe 12.50 if it was a massive night like a birthday or had special guests.

I’m sure I paid around £100 for the Gatecrasher millennium gig, which looking back was crazy price for a night out.

Still £150 for Oasis is a massive rip off. Hopefully they have decent support acts

RichM I’m sure I paid around £100 for the Gatecrasher millennium gig

Yes, it was, and I remember everyone freaking out about the millennium eve prices. I think Cream was similar.

We (me and uni mates) just ended up fucking it off on Millennium eve to have a house party, which ended up on the street at the stroke of midnight with neighbours coming out with bottles of champagne. Good times.

Then I think we did Sugar in Leamington Spa on the 2nd for our clubbing.

RichM paid £125 for my Gatecrasher millennium eve ticket which was par for the course amongst those superclubs that night.

I can only imagine the kind of craic fellas are getting into using AI bots to queue for tickets on websites these days.

I saw Carl Cox on Bondi Beach for the millennium courtesy of a Pete Tong guest list.

          KLANG!

These two fuck wits should have done what Glasto and Sheeran did, tickets with photos on, none of this resell shite.

Hursty I was going to the heineken festivals in Leeds and Brighton and they were free.
