303abuser Morty-C-137 I’m in the same boat too. I was hoping to see unfiltered audio’s battalion to go on sale, but even that isn’t a big deal. How do you like snapback? I like the way it sounds, just not sure it makes that much difference once you’ve got a full mix going.
Morty-C-137 303abuser Snapback is really great! It would tak me a ton of time to achieve the same effect by adding samples in the daw and lining them up. It’s great to try on anything; drums, plucks, guitar etc. Gives some other character to the sound that is not possible at the sound source. Plus the ability to put a reversed sample IN FRONT of say a snare hit gives it that nice extra impact feel.
Henry Morty-C-137 After saying that I don’t need another plugin in my life. It appears that I need another plugin.
apyssjw Snapback is the type of really specific use case plugin which interests me. Another one is Rando https://monkeyc.audio/pages/rando Which is the type of thing I can see being a native Ableton tool in the future (if there’s not something like it already).
303abuser Dawesome makes some good synths and this one is free. https://www.dawesomemusic.com/plugins/zyklop/
erik 303abuser Yeah, sorry, should have dropped that https://www.labelradar.com/contests/quivvercontest/portal?
303abuser erik Thanks. That track isn’t doing much for me and is way off my usual sound, but I kind of like the vocal. Might take a shot at it just to grab the stems, if nothing else. You putting something together?
erik 303abuser i didn’t even bother listening to the original, i just downloaded the parts and did it… Yeah mine’s done now
303abuser erik I honestly just skimmed it, it’s not like it really matters. We should share them here if a few of us finish something. I’d be interested to see the different takes on the same source material.
303abuser erik Will do. Winter has set in here, so I’ve got more time. I’ve got two albums that need 2-3 tracks each to be finished up, trying to put in a couple of hours a day into music now.
303abuser Apparently this got released on streaming platforms today. I’ll share the bandcamp link to the comp when it’s out (next week I think, but not totally sure). Wrote it in about 3 days in early october, it’s a little different from my usual sound. Like dub techno with the soul of a 90s prog track. https://music.apple.com/ca/album/eye-luv-u/1776842657?i=1776842658
Manski Just discovered this. Is from a few years back but worth a listen to see how Dave and Barry work and how the Refracted gigs came together with Sasha. https://finishmoremusic.com/fmm128-barry-jamieson-dave-gardner/
