Henry I love the DT and with my mixing board now, I can just route any audio for sampling with a single sub mix button. It makes the workflow super easy. I work pretty equally with sampling and creating new sounds from scratch, so I like having both options in my hardware setup.
I’m putting my ms20 mini, Roland tb-3, kordbot, drumbrute, and maybe a faderfox controller up for sale. I like all of them, but this box will do everything they can and more, while saving me desk space and speeding up my workflow. I can probably break close to even if they all sell, so that’s a no-brained for me. I have to sell some before I preorder (although I almost did yesterday), mostly to keep the wife happy. 😅
Regarding overbridge, I think many of the technical complaints come from pc users, but I’m not sure. I also don’t upgrade my os and everything else immediately, so that probably helps with stability too. I’ve literally never had a single issue.
I highly recommend the DT, it’s so immediate, but deep enough you could probably do an hour live set with just that box with no problem. They also hold value well, so if you don’t like it, you’re not out money. I was an early adopter, but I could sell mine now for more than I paid new.
