Sylenth1 is indeed a nice soft synth, but I’ve sort of tired of it over the years. I dare say as far as software modelling goes, it’s kind of old school and there’s better iterations in the software world of what it does.
An example of something that excites me more would be Universal Audio’s PolyMax. I’m fortunate to be a betatester for UA and it’s possibly one of the best sounding and most convincing of the classics we all know and love, without it being a specific model of anything in particular. I’d also highly recommend Martinec’s AX73 recreation of the AKAI AX73, which is a very unique sounding synth in itself, but is modelled really well by this Dutch developer. I own the hardware and it’s almost indistinguishable.
