Jules72 There’s a scene in the movie where security guys come out with blades, run them through a dead fish to coat them in blood and then attack the heroes.

Apparently the film financiers - Harvey Weistein before he got caught - wanted it cut as it came across weird for western audiences.

That Boon Jo whatsisface told Weinstein it was a tribute to his father who was a fisherman so it got kept in.

The flick comes out and then he does interviews saying his dad wasn’t a fucking fisherman, he just wanted the scene in the movie.

lol.

seanc80 Exactly. Most people (not us Barry Normans obv) watch flicks at home as background noise and are constantly checking their phones and such like so flicks like the old guard where you don’t really have to focus particuarly hard on them do really well for the majority.

Along_the_Wire The Sinner series 3 is some of the worst television I’ve ever seen. Tripe.

You obviously haven’t seen White Lines. Oh my days…

Wally I’m halfway through season 2 of Dark - fuck me it’s tricky keeping on top of it all. Brilliant tele.

haha - my brain is slightly melting in the 3rd series (in a good way)
Hope I ‘get it’ at the conclusion!!

Homegrove Looking forward to this… definitely going to be interesting with the same guys who did Don’t fuck with cats, which was actually highly entertaining.

The whole thing is only three parts, and finishes under 3 hours. I’ll probably finish it all at once if it’s good.

Done. For once I wished something Netflix did was longer. It was a bit nonthorough. Can still recommend.

It was decent enough, wanted so much more though. Fat Tony seemed like a proper character that deserved more of a back story. Same with Paul Castelleno and a few others. All of it was a bit weak sauce imo.

Looks like they’re setting up for a season 2 with the gotti bring down.

Completely agree. Seemed to finish way too quickly and surely could have gone into more especially on fat Tony

Fucking loved the tapes. It was somehow a shock to me that the actual mob guys spoke just like Joe Pesci in a Scorcese-movie. 😂
