Dubman he mentioned both, although the drum n bass was a brief mention

Millsy Just finished it. Stephen Graham is brilliant. Agree with @RichM The one shot take is a distraction.

Watched American Primeval. Fine as treadmill fodder to help kill the boredom, but I’m not sure I would have stuck with it otherwise. 5/10 might be generous.

Adolescence was OK. Lost my interest a bit during the psychiatrist episode as well. Apparently that episode was mostly ad-lib, so props to the young lad.

The one-shot format worked really well in the Boiling Point drama Stephen Graham did, as it really enhanced the pressurised environment, but I didn’t think it was right for Adolescence.

    Will I watch Adolescence?

    I won’t!

Faaack that last episode of ‘Adolescence’ cuts deep. No pun intended.

Good show, but some dodgy acting here and there, and yeah, the one shots felt unnecessary.

Millsy …have to say I thought it’s the best thing i’ve seen in a long while. I went into it not knowing much about it. I actually liked the psychiatrist episode as it gave a real insight into the kids moods, and what a nasty little fucker he was deep down.

Netflix can be a right load of America twaddle, buy glad there are a few gems like this out there.

IndustryStandard I just read the kid who played that role had never acted before. He did well

Watched the first episode of Adolescence.

        Thought it was rubbish.

        Cheers.

I can smell a reverse MBB moment

I watched 1883 and am watching 1923 and they have both been really good, they are prequels to Yelllowstone. I have tried a few times to watch Yellowstone but can’t get past the first episode. It’s fucking rubbish.

Reading all those dates makes me think I should have a 1664 later on.

Along_the_Wire Yeah and not a semi-decent one either. I pushed through the first season waiting for it to get good and it never happened.

Just started 1883 and I managed 2.5 episodes only because I didn’t feel like getting off the treadmill to find something else. Fuck me it’s as awful as Yellowstone, just in a different way. Annoying characters and the dialogue sounds like it was written by a five year old.

Millsy Common People felt a bit on the nose, but was depressingly good. Paul Giamatti episode was solid.
