The new black mirror season is good, I really enjoyed the “video game” episode and the Paul Giamatti one was exceptional.

The Wrath of Becky. A US extremist group called the Noble Men chose the wrong person to pick on and then
home invade as she’s a psychotic teenage girl. Funny, short, nasty and ridiculous. Sequel to Becky which was the same sort of thing but not so funny. Preferred this one.

Had forgotten about this but it popped up on Netflix so rewatching The Year of the Rabbit. It was origina!!y on CH4 and only had 1 series due to a lack of money when Covid hit. Very funny Matt Berry vehicle set in Victorian London with him as a detective solving a series of murders. If you like Matt Berry doing and saying Matt Berry things then you’ll like this.

The last season of Squid Game as equally disturbing and brutal as the other seasons. One of those series where you get drawn into it, but glad when it’s over!

Just finished Dept Q. Slightly quirky, slightly cheesy, Scottish crime drama.

A good, easy watch with the other half.

Started watching that the other night but the Mrs zoned out after about 30mins so that’s that . Back to doom scrolling .

Is it me or do all Netflix productions look weird . How they are shot and the production / camera angles etc. They all look too clean and staged . Maybe it’s the UHD on these types of shows when my old mind is used to pre 480p on Minder / Bergerac 🤣

IndustryStandard Is it me or do all Netflix productions look weird .

Quite liked the way it was shot if I’m honest, Netflix’s UHD streaming is pretty decent too

IndustryStandard Loads of fake backgrounds - the tell tale sign is out of place looking groups of people talking in the said backgrounds.

Started watching Sirens- stopped after 20 mins as found Millie ‘Horse face’ Alcock too irritating. Then started Lena Dunham’s Too Much with high hopes but it was like watching the worst parts of a Richard Curtis film turned into a series. Will Sharpe’s South London Russell Brand imitation is also terrible. A frustrating night…

        Wasily
        Watch Apocalypse in the Tropics.

Slightly longer than necessary but didn’t feel like a drag. Eerie illustration of how political systems can go badly wrong.

Wasily ……i tried that too and binned it off . Not been a great year so far on the TV front . Struggling to find much stuff appealing . May have to start reading books or sorting through my vinyl ….. imagine 🤣

IndustryStandard Books are the way forward IMO IS. I’m also trying to be really selective in what I listen to as well, not just putting music on for the sake of filling a commute or a gym sesh.

Commutes and runs are music free for OLB.

            Which is nice.

In typical fashion both of these examples are instances where literally everyone listens to music.

When they zig I zag Sean, what makes me so memorable!

            memorable like a mouth ulcer

Wasily Not Netflix but have got stuck in to the 4th series of The Bear (just in case you somehow hadnt wached it yet)

Finished first episode of Black Rabbit. Jude Law and Jason Bateman as brothers running a New York restaurant. Very enjoyable
