Homegrove Had a terrible hangover yesterday. Had two beers, before deciding I’d rather suffer this now than on Sunday. Went to bed at 9 PM and now woke up at 7 AM feeling fantastic. Still not doing Dry January though, despite pubs being closed after 6 PM here now.
bosstrabs I’m probably not going to bother drinking now until 21st January, when I finish work for Chinese New Year, it’s fucking baltic here and all the pubs will be dead anyway. Stacked up on Switch games, with a ‘rolodex’ of masseuse’s numbers.
Hursty I’m in, going for much longer as well. Can’t handle booze as much these days I can even get a headache off 1 beer, massive lightweight! Have some crazy endurance sport goals this year so need the help!
Along_the_Wire I had 14 pints up at my dad’s on Saturday and slept for 12 hours. Feel absolutely fine - back home with a glass of Rioja - I’ll drink today and tomorrow and then cut back to twice a week, but will take an extended break after that and really focus on training. I’m too old to keep hammering it
303abuser Along_the_Wire 14 pints is an effort. think i’d die if i had half that, 4 or 5 and i feel it for two days.
Millsy I’m slowing right down and have only had the ONE BOTTLE of vin rouge so far today!!!! What am I like! Minerals. Also my son and wife have both had covid but I continue to test negative. Why? MINERALS.
303abuser haha i used to be able to go pound for pound with anyone, those days are well behind me now.
Amps Managed to swerve any booze today after an impromptu family get together. Not going full dry, but looking to moderate and keep smashing the gym. The diet on the other hand went right out the window. In other news, you know your old when you put on a firework display in the back garden for the kids and don’t look up once to see if they are even any good.
