What time is love (Pure trance 1) 1998 & Kylie said to Jason plus the chill out album are the only ones worth having.

Along_the_Wire I loved it then. It was formative before I started clubbing in 93. I can no longer abide the bloody rapping and moo moo chants though. Still love the what time is love (trance mix) and the irresistibly catchy Tammy Wynette Justified vocal though

Along_the_Wire The combo with Extreme Noise Terror was trolling of the highest order. Here’s the video for those that don’t know what we’re on about… love the confused applause at the end:

Surprised they’ve made some of their back catalogue available again actually, thought they’d hold out.

PDJ Surprised they’ve made some of their back catalogue available again actually, thought they’d hold out.

They pretty much have held out - it’s a bit cack. I know they destroyed the masters, but bang them up as WAVs or 320kbps

Justified and Ancient performance on TOTP is truly memorable

alistair All the singles from The White Album are amazing, the wrapping being an integral part of that, Bello and Ricardo Da Force blasting pyramids left right and centre!

Sean Johnston has played an ace version of What Time Is Love with the "“gonna make you sweat” lyrics and all kinds of alarms and stuff going off, but without the dated rapping. Anyone have any idea which version it is? Thanks v much. ((It was on the ALFOS Weatherall tribute)

Lightfoot last train to trancecentral and 3am eternal are both crackers. Where is today’s klf?

          apyssjw Where is today’s klf?

The music industry is dead and it’s corpse is being raped.

Lightfoot covid is killing it mate. Live music is dying in its wake. Terrible pity. Nothing I miss more than gigs.

alistair My comment was more on the lack of creativity that has been an issue for the last 15 or so years.

I agree on the current issue around live gigs though.

Lightfoot I take the broader point but there has been plenty of good new electronica released in 2020

Homegrove There is and there always has been. Maybe LF is talking more about pop music - it’s shit isn’t it? Most likely I take this view because of my age, but there is no KLF in the charts and that has been the case for a long old time.

Pop music in the charts is always for the kids. It’s not for us.

Kenton Might be the Rich Lane edit…it’s on sc

Agree with Light foot, the pop side of things has been putrid for about 20 years. The overall standard of song writing and originality is shockingly bad. It seems Hip Hop and that type of track is the go-to formula for many artists/producers, and its all pure fucking shite.
Nicky Minaj and other cunts like Cardi B “ singing” about eating cock and rubbing their hymens is the norm now. “oh wow did you check out the lyrics of the new Cardi B track?” fuck off, it’s insulting to those of us who grew up listening to Talk Talk or David Bowie on MTV. Pop seems lazy, monotonous and raped as was previously mentioned, run by people who have no integrity whatsoever.
I don’t agree it’s for kids only either, my father who’s in his mid 60s can often be found humming the latest computer generated shite and will often claim to like the latest cut. Mainly because he’s a radio listener, the poor cunts who are force fed all the nonsense.

You sounded like a proper boomer there LT. Ticked so many boxes, “back in my day the lyrics meant something.”

Move on and let the kids enjoy it.
