The balls on them with that straight from the comics costume. Captain America 4 in develepoment by the showrunner of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The show was fun watch, but one wonders what it could have been without the pandemic. One of the main plotlines was a man made pandemic, but that had to be hastily written out, and it showed.
Followed the final episode with Captain America: Winter Soldier. Still my favorite MCU-movie.
Overall, a solid ‘B’ - commendable they introduced the racial politics of a black man being Captain America into things (and handled about as well as it was going to be in a Marvel Disney show), Isiah Bradley was a good story line. Some great Bucky / Falcon moments, John Walker was great. Zemo / Daniel Bruhl was great (once you just went with ‘I’m also a baron, massively wealthy and basically royalty. Did no one tell you?’.)
But it was all over the place tonally and in quality terms from episode to episode. Some of the character developments were eye rolling. (Agent 13 / Sharon Carter in particular). Felt like it had been cut down from 7 or 8 episodes somewhere along the line with important developments hand waved away in reshoots / ADR. (Probs related to the pandemic plot stuff mentioned above). I’m guessing that may have meant some of the weaker parts of the show (the baddies, the GRC, the power broker etc) would have been punched up which is a shame.
Looking forward to Loki. Looks class.

Dan I really enjoyed it, you’re right though the best thing about it was the chemistry between the 2 of them. Didn’t like what they did with Sharon however ( unless she turns out to be a Skrull ). Loved how Sam turned out in the end.

Figured this is the right thread for this. They’re doing a reboot of Highlander, with Henry Cavill in the lead. If you have fond memories of the original do NOT rewatch it, it has not aged well. Jesus made that mistake a few years ago.
