I thought he was hamming it up a bit. Lovecraft Country proved he’s a great actor, but this felt a bit OTT.
Superhero/ Star Wars-discussion COOL KIDS ONLY
Fan theories about the big bad were right though, so there is that.
Homegrove I watched the episode twice and the first time I thought that but I was definitely more on board with it the second. I think any actor being told to play ‘someone who has lived a million years alone and is the overlord of all time in order to protect against other versions of himself destroying the galaxy’ is gonna have a hard time of it.
Really enjoyed it - I kinda wish i’d known it was renewed for a second season and / or it was gonna end on a cliff hanger before watching it but hey ho.
I thought he was excellent, hes going to be a very prominent figure for a long while
He makes some great points.
Disney’s tone deaf ‘won’t someone think of the billionaire stufios?!’ didn’t really help. The Stresiand effect in full force.

‘To bolster their argument, the suit includes a 2019 email between the actress’s legal team and Marvel Chief Counsel Dave Galluzzi, in which the studio attorney promised a traditional theatrical bow “like our other pictures,” while adding “We understand that should the plan change, we would need to discuss this with you and come to an understanding as the deal is based on a series of (very large) box office bonuses.”’
Disney will find a way out of it, as it all hinges around the words “theatrical release”
Emma Stone is also suing them over the same thing with Cruella.
A contract lawyer goes through ScarJo’s complaint. Worth a click n read if you’re interested in it.
Anyone enjoy What If? this week?
My kids did.
Pffft, I’m not going to watch a CARTOON. Only entertainment that’s meant for adults, like this:
Didn’t teaser trailers used to be very short and barely show anything from the actual film?
Yeah, this is pretty spoilerific. I still have very little idea what the plot in the Ten Rings-movie is. Or Eternals, so those trailers were better done. But this is Sony, those are Marvel, so might be because of that.
Looks awful
Homegrove Sony trailers are always spoiler tastic but the multiverse thing for this has been the worst kept secret for ages. Even casual browsing of the net when loki and wandavision were on meant finding out about it.
Having said that if you’ve not been aware, don’t watch the next trailer. There’s at least three more big things they can / will spoil for it that weren’t in this one. (Although one is kinda in this trailer but deliberately obscured)
