No, but I love it. Mostly because there’s barely a plot. It’s really just a series of gags. It’s incoherent.

I also enjoy Roger Ebert’s review where is appears to be in the midst of an existential crisis.

“Sometimes I think I am living in a nightmare. All about me, standards are collapsing, manners are evaporating, people show no respect for themselves. I am not a moralistic nut. I’m proud of the X-rated movie I once wrote. I like vulgarity if it’s funny or serves a purpose. But what is going on here?”

nicksneddon Looks like the silence of the lambs death’s head moth silhouette but that’s just a guess.

Felt like this latest episode should have ended with “….And?”

Unicron?

I still rate that movie. The fact Orson Welles, in his last role, voiced Unicron is just bizarre. “You got the touch” is also an iconically bad song.

Fuck the naysayers, wandavision was class.

There’s a mid credit sequence AND a very end credit sequence this week.

My 10 year old can’t wait to see this afternoon.

He’s bang into it. I don’t mind it tbh.

    He was underwhelmed. Lol

Oh well Falcon & Winter Soldier next >>>

Weird. You would think they’d do it to promote Avatar 2 when that’s out.

Kells77 just another artist disgusted by the MCU world and its odious viewers.

    Avatar is pants.

Might have a go at that blue thing, mind.

Politically speaking it is the best movie of all time. Can’t wait for the next 7.

Just found out that the Moon Knight series is being directed by the guys that made The Endless and Resolution

First episode of Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a bit all over the place, but enjoyed bits of it. Bucky’s PTSD, Sam not getting paid by Tony.

    • Dan replied to this.

Homegrove Opening scene was pretty cool. Strange (like you said) that they can’t ponce the money off Potts.

      Loki 11th June…. that’ll be dope.

Pratt is a Christian asshole IRL, but great in that role. However that would’ve been amazing to see.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier is all over the place. First episode was really somber, the second is a MCU version of Lethal Weapon.

Still liking it though, they’re making some nice subtle things about racism, the Tuskagee-experiments etc.

Homegrove Some nice digs at ‘the whites’.

        Cheers Disney.

Is it true the one is denied a bank account or something?

He went to the bank along with his sister and was denied a loan

Serious question. Is it legit to talk DC in here or nah? I watched several DCU movies whilst dying of a hangover and now have takes to share.

Fine by me. I doubt this board can handle two superhero-threads. I’ll edit the title.

Homegrove changed the title to Superhero/ Star Wars-discussion COOL KIDS ONLY .

Fantastic! So, I hadn’t seen a full superhero movie since Bale was Batman, just as an fyi. I watched The Snyder Cut, Wonder Woman 1984, and Batman vs Superman in that order. Some takes…

        1. The Snyder Cut was pretty bad. The dialogue and music were both atrocious. Gal Gadot is the worst actor/actress I have ever seen. #1 all time, no hyperbole. Still, I appreciate that Snyder at least tries to take the subject matter seriously, as opposed to filling it with soy bants like the MCU would have. Also, Ben Affleck is pretty good as Batman. Better than Bale for sure. I also enjoyed the Steppenwolf villain. He looked cool, and I like that Snyder actually had him beat the absolute shit out of the hoards of women. He punted that one chic and her horse to the 1 yard line. And it was great seeing that guy from Terminator 2 as Cyborg’s dad. Wish he was in more stuff. 6/10
        2. WW1984 is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. How this was seen as anything other than a cruel joke is beyond me. There wasn’t a single fucking song from 1984, let alone the 80s as a decade, to be heard. Again, Gal Gadot is the worst actor/actress in history. Not even the great Pedro Pascal could save that complete abortion of a film. This film absolutely got a grant from the DC transit authority, or something, because at least 1 hour of screen time is filled with trains slowly passing by. 3/10
        3. Batman vs Superman was actually pretty good. The plot was easy to follow, which seems impossible for this genre of film. Again, Affleck was great as Batman, I didn’t mind Superman guy whose name I can’t remember, Jesse was good enough as Lex, and Gal Gadot was once again atrocious eye candy. 7/10

In summary, the Snyder films were undoubtedly for baby, but still not that painful. I can’t stress how much better these films are when they aren’t filled with gods on earth talking like a bunch of Best Buy employees on their break, aka every MCU film. I am sad that the Synder DC universe has come to it’s end. After seeing these and doing some reading I think I would have sat thru the Batman movie that Ben was going to write, direct, and star in. In spite of my best instincts I really liked him as Batman. And while Snyder is a total wack job, I do think he is perfect to direct these types of movies. He can film a logical fight/action scenes, something Christopher Nolan was never able to achieve.

Nick is depress after being confronted by undeniable truths. I feel for him.
