No Rhouses, it would be foolish to point to Trump, or any other individual for that matter. The overturning of Roe v Wade is part of an effort spanning decades by Republicans to reshape the country via minority rule. Republicans have been playing the long game since the 70s on this shit by founding think-tanks like The Heritage Foundation and The Federalist Society. Through massive cash investments from families like The Coors and Kochs these things went from fringe groups to entities that provide the physical list that justices may be selected from. It is impossible to understand facts like this, and not blame the Democrats for refusing to meet the Republicans with equal and opposite force.
And if you insist on having an individual to point the finger at, you can stat with Joe Brandon, the man who did everything in his power to get Clarance Thomas on the Supreme Court. If you are seriously interested, look up the Anita Hill trials, and watch real footage of Brandon in action. It is disgusting.
Next on the list would be the Obungler who said on national tv that the “The Freedom of Choice Act is not my highest legislative priority.” This was legislation he promised to pass and ran heavily on during his first campaign for POTUS. He had a super majority (which Brandon has now BTW) and could have passed it, but instead he chose to focus on passing the Affordable Care Act, which was legislation written and promoted by Mitt Romney and the Republicans for years.
Finally, look no further than the Notorious RBG who refused to retire, even though she was 1,000,000,000,000 years old, and ended up dying on the bench.
