I watched Requiem for a Dream when it first came out, in an arty cinema IIRC and loved it.
Then watched it again around 2010 and thought “fuck me, this is only 10 years old but it seems really dated”.
Then I watched it again about a year ago and that it is well 2000 makes it seem timeless now. Weird how that happens. This is the most ‘Year 2000’ thing in any movie ever, I think…
