Along_the_Wire Unbroken1 cheers Damo, I’ll give it a go, but the scraping sound is definitely metal on metal. The DJ Shop said to send it back
Along_the_Wire The DJ Shop have been excellent about the XZ - they pick it up Tuesday - it breaks my little ginger heart. Thank fuck I didn’t get rid of the RX2 yet - I doubt I’ll see the XZ this side of Christmas, which is a massive shame given it’s my 50th in between now and then 😢
Along_the_Wire mono-stereo Hopefully just a quick fix - it all works, just the jog-wheel sticks and scrapes at certain, random points - feels like it’s repairable
Christian Along_the_Wire redsound soundbite looping unit. i had one years ago and suprised they are still used.
Unbroken1 Along_the_Wire …yeah I imagine so, they work remarkably well and are in quite high demand despite being discontinued years ago
Christian i have one sat in the garage that i might have to dig out now i have my 1210’s back out again
Along_the_Wire The PLX1000 arrived yesterday and I’ve got it all set up, just awaiting a cartridge and a stylus which irritatingly doesn’t arrive til Friday. Fuck me, it’s solid piece of kit and looks absolutely mint in the living room
NasserAlazzawi Along_the_Wire those look nice. I’m having a good experience with RELOOP RP 4000 mk2 which basically look and behave like Technics 1210 but with added Master Tempo too.
Unbroken1 Along_the_Wire …honestly not up to date with turntable tech but they look pretty solid, how do these compare with Technics?
Along_the_Wire Unbroken1 Never owned Technics. The PLX weighs a ton. Having a start/stop button is a novelty.
