Christ I’d missed the mixer. I thought the K2 had a decent soundcard, but the difference in the sound when I played with Traktor last night, and used the PX:5’s soundcard was HUGE. Borrowed my XDJs for a friend, so last night’s 5+ hour session was done with the Joris Voorn-set up (mixer, K2, Traktor with sync on). But still had a tremendous time.
One thing I learned from my time mixing with the K2 was that I don’t have to use the equ so aggressively. I always thought full kill equ is the way to go, but now have realized that if you can pick the right tracks to go with each other you don’t have to actually use it that much.
