So I bought another Model 1.4 off Ebay. I thought the main filter wasn’t working at first, turns out the audio signal needs to be over around -6d for the zero-crossing detection to kick in.
I really like it’s sound, tons of headroom to really push the overdrive distortion, bit like an old analogue desk i imagine. I can undertand why people are using these as summing mixers for outboard gear, i’ll be doing the same.
Looking forward to having a proper play with it when my second CDJ eventually turns up.
