Cankles-McJeggings …the build or the filters?

Build-wise I’d say quite similar, if not a slightly beefier feel due to the studio-style faders.

Filters are just more detailed, lots more control than straightforward HPF/LPF. Can imagine they’d be amazing mixing stripped down techno using Traktor or whatever, where you can really isolate and twist-up different frequencies.

The Warm2 look really good, Eclers always made well.

Cankles-McJeggings We had the three knob rotary style mixer at the Star… Took about three mixes to get used to them. Incredible sound and like you said bulletproof.

The db4 aside which to me was just utterly ridiculous they have hardly put a foot wrong. Pioneer however…

DB4 was awesome, but maybe a bit too complicated. Digweed is still rocking it if the promoter can get one. If not then V10 like everyone else now.

Homegrove I was gonna ask why Sasha and diggers stopped using a&h mixers. Promoters not being able to get hold of them? Or just the fact that everyone else wants to use a v10 now?

mono-stereo Sasha was using 92/96 until V10 came along. I guess he liked it more. It does seem like an absolute beast. Even most of the Model 1 crew switched to it. Liebing, Mouldebar, Voorn…

If money was no object etc. One came up a few months back 5000 gpb. These unions are 5.5k so not really a saving 😂 Look sublime in black though.

The V10 can fuck off too. Simply overly complicated like the db4. Who wants to stare at all that shit when it can all be a lot simpler?

Would love a valve mk2 radius too. The closest I’ve been to buying another mixer. Will probably succumb one day. Kids etc . Do you know anyone with one damo? The 4 valve?

Cankles-McJeggings …seen V6’s listed for way more than £5K (embarrassed to say what I let mine go for!).

Haven’t played on the valve Radius, but a lad i know who rents party kit in Ibiza and literally has had his hands on every mixer on the market, really rates them. The mk2 adds the HPF which is a gamechanger for me, could never understand why it was originally on the standard Radius but that the valve originally was EQ only (tbh, I’d rather they stripped it down even more and lost the EQ altogether).

mono-stereo I don’t think Model 1 had anything to do with A&H. They’re still built in his shop. Like are the Mastersounds-mixers.

Nah they did work in conjunction with AH on the model one. AH helped to make it and distribute it.
I think I’m right in saying they are both in Cornwall too.
