There must be something worth digging out of the genre.
I think that Lil Peep track is quite interesting, although like I said, the track is just a direct lift of Nirvana with rap over the top.

Not sure if it falls in the “mumble” genre but he’s definitely a product of YouTube. He was putting out videos once a week for a while there - about Wonton Soup and Ellen Degenerous.

bosstrabs I still listen to that Lil Uzi Vert track above sometimes, and one or two of his more recent things, but that’s still possible to do while recognising that clearly the thing and the artists associated with it did indeed peak 2017-H1 2018.
All the artists you and I have named released their biggest tracks during that period, and all the ones you named are since dead so they’re obviously completely “over”.
