My mate was into getting furniture from the local tip and setting it up on the railway to watch a train smash through 😆

Sometimes he’d sit on it until just before the train hit. Sticks of chairs flying everywhere.

I suppose it was pretty exciting now that I think about it.

That’s the thing about the States - you never know who might have a glock in their boot. The sorts of bar/pub brawls I’ve seen in GB don’t really happen here. Not to imply it’s any better or worse, just different.

I arrived home at 7am one morning absolutely flying off my face, eyes like yer man out of Salems Lot. Father met me at the door with clenched fists, squared me up and goes “were you smoking cigarettes?” - to be honest I’d doubt my parents even knew bangers existed up until a few years ago after they got a mention in every TV show out there.

That’s a good point my parents had no idea what pills were back in 89. There was the odd news stories on TV about acid house but it was based on those big illegal parties outside the M25.

Arrested for drunk and disorderly at uni. Night in cells. The cops were proper wind up merchants. Got charged as well.

got to court and the deal was they’d drop charges as long as I promised not to make a complaint. Got bound over for 6 months but no record. Still have to get a us visa every 10 years cos I’m really honest like that

get asked why every time I go and most of them laugh about how honest I am.

My parents totally know what they are from comments they made but it seemed to be a case of mutual understanding: ’we don’t want to have to have this serious conversation with you so don’t take the piss by coming home and making a show of yourself absolutely belted’.

If I did, I tended to slink off to bed asap and claim a ‘long night’ and a ‘hangover’.
