-si- Better deals on the iphone 11 it seems, trying to sort an upgrade this week. Been a samsung user for last load of years, was contemplating s20 but not paying 50 notes a month for a phone. S10 for 38 quid with sky. Iphone 11 for 36 quid with them also. Did any of you lads find any decent deals on your recent hunt?
FabiParas My S9+ Contract has just ended so contemplating the S20 Ultra with 512GB but not loving the cost or the three-year lock-in on reducing the payment costs. In all honesty though the S9+ is perfectly adequate for the foreseeable so will hang on for a bit and see if any of the costs come down.
gcw I’ve had a Huawei P20 for the past three years. Best phone I’ve ever had to be honest, no complaints with it at all. I would definitely consider another Huawei phone, even with all of their negative press in the West
Mad_Cyril gcw I’ve had a Huawei P20 for the past three years. Best phone I’ve ever had to be honest, no complaints with it at all. I would definitely consider another Huawei phone, even with all of their negative press in the West Watch out. They’ve planted little Chinese men in them that pop out when you’re asleep, give you C19 and then go to town on your ass. If you wake up with a sore bum and a cough, don’t say I didn’t tell you so
Jules72 Intended to stick with my iPhone X after a couple of years….transferred from O2 to Vodafone at the beginning of the lockdown, yet O2 had locked the bloody thing… and O2 wouldn’t sort it for me due to lack of service representatives … ridiculous monopolistic behaviour. Anyway, now my iPhone X’s battery seems to be on the blink ffs.
Along_the_Wire Jules72 Dan You can get one done the same day in an Apple Store (reality is an hour or two, or even quicker). £69.
Dan The only reason I’d prob upgrade is the fact my battery is fading. Quite fancy iPhone 11… decent camera/battery life.
Jules72 Along_the_Wire Cheers when they’re open will go and do that… not caving into the 2 year rinse and repeat cycle!
Hursty Just bought myself the iPhone SE after seeing how good i was. If you want a big screen, edge to edge, gucci cameras up the ying yang, forget it, but if you want a small functional phone, it’s great.
Heno Hursty i had the original se with mad storage. Great phone for what it was preferred it at the time to the 8 my missus had
Hursty Dan Yes it is at the moment, that’s one thing that was a compromise but then again I don’t play games or watch videos, just general use so for example I charged it up at 8pm last night, have used it today, including 2 conference calls and it is still at 57%, so I’m very impressed.
Along_the_Wire Jules72 Call them first and see if you book an appointment / check how long it’ll take.
Old-Dutch Anyone here have a Samsung S21? Thinking of pulling the trigger - some good Black Friday deals on
Echo Old-Dutch Was looking at it in the summer when my 24 months was up. Decided against it, however, due to the fact there was/is sod all wrong with my S10.
benson O2 have fucked my phone and stolen my incoming calls and texts to a now disconnected sim. All very weird. Can make outgoing calls and data is fine but incoming voice / sms is screwed.
