ScottBailey awesome, cheers! Appreciate it.
What events/gigs have you bought tickets for?

CindyLouWho I still think the sound was a bit shit tbh, but the best place I found was at the front of the VIP balcony right in front of where the main speaker stack was flown about JD. Perfect angle for where I was stood, and the bass was so much better than down on the dancefloor, where I did go and have a brief boogie too
Pretty sure I heard this too, but not a fan of the Street Fighter samples
ScottBailey sounds great! Gimme a shout if you go again next year and maybe you can show me where the ideal spot is.
ScottBailey Few clips I took of last night
The first track seems surprisingly heavy for what Iāve come to expect from present day Digweed; could almost be something off Los Angeles.
The metal barrier with the big gap to the DJ booth looks a bit odd though.
Morning all.
Firstly - big shout to all the Bedrock regulars. Always nice to see familiar faces from previous events going right back to Heaven and before.
Smooth transit getting in. No queue or security issues. Seemed a friendly-ish bunch on the door.
The venue is super smart. Plenty of space and capacity. As someone put above, it was busy but a nice busy.
Now - hereās my continuing depression with āevent spacesā. The sound system. Has it really come to this that Sir John of Digweed is stuck in the corner with only one large set of speakers above him?
Think of the cathedrals of sound. Stereo, Pacha, fabric, (bloody) Ministry! Purpose build venues! Breaks my heart to go to these venues where a tiny set of Sonos speaker has been shipping in for one gig. Reminds me of my days spinning at our local village hall.
Loved the tunes from Diggers. Some really nice stuff off his recent Transitions shows and plenty of new gear.
Really hoping Bedrock returns to a purpose made nightclub soon - if thereās any left in London!
See you later in the year x
delged agree with everything youāve said here. Massive improvement on sound compared to last year imo although youāre right, itās still not the same as hearing him in a purpose-built venue. Hence my comment about it still being no comparison to the gig he did at Sub Club a couple of months ago. Much smaller audience obvs but brilliant sound as that space is made for that.
Feels like whatever Diggers would do in that space it still wouldnāt compare to purpose-made venues, although as you rightly say, these appear to be increasingly few-and-far-between. Feel like with Outernet itās the gig venue equivalent of that old relationship chestnut⦠rather than, āitās not you, itās meā, perhaps āitās not you, itās the venueā that seems apt.
Anyway, for all the reasons youāve set out a huge improvement on last year and will definitely be back there next year. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Nothing wrong with small spaces and a decent sound system - most of the best nights Iāve been to have been in smaller venues with a tighter knit crowd
ScottBailey is that not the Oliver Lieb 2017 remaster?
erik think thereās some subtle differences. Wouldnāt be surprised if itās a Cortona jobbie
Christian Loffler was terrific in Brighton last night. The cheese from his last album sounded much beefier and better live - was honestly expecting to be on my toes after twenty minutes. The oddest mix of people at a gig Iāve ever seen.
Beck at the RAH was immense. So good.
What wasnāt so good was the support act. A lady whistling for 30 minutes! Very bizarre!
Was half expecting/hoping sheād start playing a flute from her fanny. Sadly, didnāt happen!

Relieved!
