Mad_Cyril vinnyt77 Great advice. But this is for Smallman. Cremating a few Richmonds and Findus ¼ pounders is going to be a steep learning curve
RichM Mad_Cyril some cast iron won’t work as the coating won’t cope with the high temps. Tandoor chicken should be great in these, I’ve done a few tandoori chicken pizzas and they are lovely
Mad_Cyril RichM some cast iron won’t work as the coating won’t cope with the high temps. Fair shout, I won’t be getting them from Argos though to be fair
Dubman jonattonyeah watched this a few weeks ago on Sky documentaries. It’s a very slow build up until it all kicked off. well worth a watch though. Did fell sorry for him at the end.
Millsy Old-Dutch these chimneys get so incredibly hot 🔥. I still have a perfectly round hole in my drive as I left mine burning too long while mashing a few continental lagers with my neighbour. We were both sniffing the air wondering why the council was resurfacing the road on a Sunday afternoon lol
vinnyt77 Millsy Same same. Emptied hot coals into the BBQ and put the empty chimney straight down onto the brand new (like, about 3 days old) patio stones in our back garden, leaving a perfect circle burn mark. Not my proudest moment.
vinnyt77 Heno Not a massive fan of their kettle charcoal bbqs. Had one before my Dancook kettle, and the Dancook is noticeably better for heat management and cleaning. Their gas BBQs are excellent though, and their Smokey Mountain bullet smokers are amazing.
Millsy vinnyt77 lol. At least mine is black tarmac (thanks fadas), but still impressed it managed to a burn down a clear two inches.
mono-stereo Another vote for Weber here. I just picked up a rotisserie attachment for mine, same as this dudes:
wrongun vinnyt77 Prefer charcoal, have a Weber Master Grill - one absolutely key bit of equipment is to get a chimney starter [https://www.weber.com/IE/en/accessories/what%27s-hot/must-have-accessories/7416.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9YWDBhDyARIsADt6sGZ1fZu8ZaICBUvvAHDLkpKJEZdmvaUJqeFp0LOWsGcszK2yeOMwm9kaAhEzEALw_wcB]
vinnyt77 wrongun 100%. Only got my first chimney starter about 8 years ago, and has been the best bit of bbq kit I think I’ve ever bought…
