The U2 Pop tour concert at Wembley was the best concert I’ve ever been to. Absolutely incredible

The Unforgettable Fire is a belter

I’ve saw U2 at Wembley with Ed Sheeran’s manager.

Tru fax and a KLANG.

Red Hill Mining Town is a corker.

Love the Joshua Tree.

I won’t apologise, Dan. There was fantastic music around at the time and that band/album were only interested in making money and breaking the US. Cunts.

    • Dan replied to this.

Lol, Bono has never been interested in making money. He’s a man of the people

Dan Great album. The singles are amazing but so are the deeper cuts. Exit is a stand out and yes, Red Hill Mining is beautiful as is Running to stand still. Bullet and the blue sky is ferocious live. The Joshua Tree revisited gigs were great

Bono has the largest collection of Hatchbacks in Britain.

ETS live in Berlin. That is EVERYTHING.

101 is getting a rerelease. The HD master of the movie looks fucking great.

Jive Bunny and the Matermixers for me. Blew everyone else out of the water at the time and were arguably the forerunners of Dixon’s sound.

You sure you’re in the right thread Millsy?

Worry not H, I’ve downvoted him.

Fuck me, what a shitshow this thread is already.

Not sure you have to choose between Depeche Mode, New Order and Pet Shop Boys do you? I imagine the slightly non-conventional/non-mainstream people who were into one in the 80s were into all three weren’t they?

Much like people who were into The Stone Roses also being into Happy Mondays and The Charlatans a bit later.

I was listening to Bananarama and The Bangles and Bros etc if that helps, Dave. I discovered DM a lot later than all the cool kids. 😎

Cheese and onion crisps auf der Autobahn

apyssjw It’s not Mutes studio as it belonged to Dave Stewart at the time (now owned by David Gray…I think) Junkie XL and Feeder were using it when I was given the tour. I was DJing upstairs at some Xmas party and one of the studio lads showed me around.

Old-Dutch There’s a belting remix of this by Dixon:

That Dixon mix is awful in my opinion. Rushed and a box ticking excercise. I dont believe he ever actually played it.

Its all about windmilling around Invervisions Off Sonar at Pablo Espanyol in 2017, lit up like a christmas tree when he fades out a record, plays the Cover Me Acapella…. and then drops Uzoamaka
Not a dry eye for miles.

I prefer his LCD soundsystem remix.

Blu Ray of 101 came in the mail today. 4K remastered from the film (no idea why only a normal blu ray was released), this is fucking awesome. The movie and about half of the songs from the Pasadena-concert.

They’re going to be touring next year with a new album. They’ll be outdoors in Helsinki in August, but I will pass. Them as a duo (well with a back up band) in their sixties… Nah.

I managed to get guest passes 3 times in the past 10 years for DM (including one time sitting next to Oakenfold!) but yeah, I’m not sure I’d go and see them now

              I’d go.

Homegrove I’d go. It was well known that Fletch did little but stand behind a keyboard and manage the finances
