Thread inspired by Sasha playing that Skrillex/Four Tet abortion - what other examples do you have? Either hearing it in person or in a recorded set qualifies.
To kick off with I’ll stick with Sasha - heard him play this travesty at Urban Gorilla:

My Mum has hacked Alistair’s account!
Some fucking shockers here. Bending the rules a bit, but Orbital with Belinda Carlisle’s Heaven on Earth. I just walk away.
Seen Harvey drop Mandy Smith just can’t wait (cool & breezy mix).. Great open minded DJ.
When I first started going out around ’97, every major house dj seemed to be getting on the garage bandwagon, remember some shocking garage tracks being incongruously dropped into sets, stuff like Double 99 - RIP Groove and so on.
Can’t remember specific culprits, but they were all at it - Tong, Oakenfold, probably Sasha and Digweed at some point (Digweed was playing Doop around that time, after all).
Edit: *Really I should be clearer and have written ‘Speed Garage’, obviously it wouldn’t be unusual or particularly bad for a house dj to be dropping Kerri Chandler tracks.
