So you cannot record directly in rekordbox if you are using beatport link. So I need something that will sit on either the booth or the main line out that I can record on. Do people have suggestions. And brace yourself for some taps aaarf front and centre mixes. When I get round to it

Is it Beatport that’s conflicting with Record box?

Rekordbox specifically does not allow recording if you are streaming.

I rivers no longer exist

I’ve got one in the loft you can have mate. Pm me your address

benson buy a Tascam (about 100 £) and record with it from the master 2 out. That’s what I’ve always done, but I have a rec out on my mixer, so the master volume doesn’t affect the recording. So you’ll have to keep it on the same level the whole session.

I’ve never recorded in software, not even on Traktor.

Pretty much same as Hannu Zoom H1n was €80 off Thomann works great really simple

benson I have used a splitter with the RCAs and routed one into the line in on my 2nd computer. Worked fine.

Why not buy yourself an audio interface like a moto m2 and just record it on your computer?

Homegrove Recording in Traktor is faultless. Just got to check you don’t limit the size of the recording.

Does anyone use any software to normalise levels? Make consistent across a recorded mix?

Is Audacity something that might help, can’t really tell on their page

Mad_Cyril Bit of ‘normalisation’ followed by ‘hard limit’. It sounds like a date with Millsy, but it will have the desired effect. You could go mad and get some RMS meters on your set up, but you are as well to just use your ears and know your tracks. I used to rerecord mixes over and over until I was happy with levels.

ableton live lite might be overkill, but it’s not super expensive and there are always codes floating around reddit. basic serial compression should do the job.

Could you use something like Soundflower to route the external device soundcard output into your computer soundcard input and record via Audacity ?

I use my livestreaming set up, a Tascam US2×1 soundcard hooked up to a pc running OBS. Record in that, extract the audio in VLC and then edit the audio in Wave Pad Editor
