If it makes you feel any better, my first chippy in 2 months (last night) was a quasi religious experience.

Cod, chips, Irish curry sauce (?).

The smell of salt & vinegar coming off the hot chips nearly made me crash about 3 times on the way home.

Couldn’t move after it and 2 hefty poos before 8:30 am thia morning barely cleared the blockage.

Sensational

Mad_Cyril For every positive there has to be a negative . Winners and losers . I live and learn .

Noticed the Irish curry sauce trend. Apparently the hotter variant . Would like a full breakdown of the background of this trend tbh.

Decent. Miles better than the bland ’chip shop or rank ‘chinese’.

Slightly spicy, slightly fruity. Boss with chips.

Not sure of its lineage though I’m afraid

Hoping the chip shop chat gets BF back on board.

How many kilos have you lot put on since the lockdown started? Just the one here but it’s a struggle… having to overhaul my diet pretty much.

          None.

But my wife seems to be systematically shrinking my clothes to mess with my mind

Looking forward to grabbing some food from a good spot around here soon, hopefully Monday.

Shan Dong for dumplings and hand-pulled noodles
          B-Dama for some Oyakodon
Fried Chicken and Salt Cod Fritters from Miss Ollie’s

One of those will likely be one of my choices. Know the owners of the latter two so good to help them out as much as I can.

Curry sauce with fish and chips has got to Northern thing. Talk about spoiling the whole flavour of the dish. Sounds as bad as those people who out Tommy C on their roast dinner.

Struggling to decrypt that if I’m being honest Dubbers mate.

But yeah, putting anything other than salt, lemon and a punchy sauce Tartare is an offence punishable by death in my house.

jonattonyeah Salt Cod Fritters from Miss Ollie’s

I’d eat that. Just googled the place, looks solid.

                  It’s in Oakland right?

sorry mate my mistake. I should of said tomato ketchup on a roast dinner which i have some family members who do this.

                      Dubman
With, not on Dubbers. There’s a world of difference.

And a LOL for CeeJay and his ‘squeeze of lemon & sauce tartare’. Must get twatted every time he goes to the chippy in Scotland.

C_J For me, it’s that in Scotland or tartare sauce in England. Never ketchup.

I just can’t get my head around having curry sauce on fish ’n’chips. I do like mushy peas with mine also.
