For what its worth the proper techno sound I loved was summed up in a production of I love Techno 2003. I so wish I’d been to this.

Love this drop:

And I just adore the tribal sound.

ScottBailey I’d heard this stuff before but I always shied away from it - there was a line I didn’t like to cross with techno and I was cutting my teeth with mostly Trance and Prog in 2000-2004.

I always thought it was too edgy / anxiety inducing. It’s banging as fuck like.

NasserAlazzawi I agree I wouldn’t play what I pasted anywhere near other examples given - the type of Techno I was sharing was something I would drop in the build up / plateau of a driving prog set

That’s because “the type of Techno [you were] sharing” is not techno. It’s pretty simple.

If you know the phrase “If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck”, well what you’re doing is turning up to a duck convention with a turkey and asking “hey guys, why don’t you like my duck?!”.

hugopal We’ll have to agree to disagree. To me there are too many types of techno and this doesn’t tick your techno box.

NasserAlazzawi To me there are too many types of techno

Good point - you know what’s my favourite type of techno? Pop/hip-hop techno. Here’s a recent good example:

If Ray and Anita think its techno, who am I to argue

Here’s some of Nas’ favourite types of duck:

How much you care about arguing is wrong. Don’t strain too hard you might have an accident.

I’m not having to strain at all don’t worry - ripping in to you is as easy as targeting a sitting duck turkey.

NasserAlazzawi Hugo’s debut in family guy:

Dude, that’s literally you - considering you’re the guy posting deep house while refusing to acknowledge that it’s not techno despite an entire thread being made to point it out with multiple posters highlighting the fact.
