I used to live about 10-15 mins away from Glastonbury.
First went in 95 (I think) when Oasis and Pulp were headlining (The Orb may have played) but really remember the NME tent for The Verve, Charlatans and Skunk Anansie (not my kind of music but I still remember the intensity of their performance).
Was one of the last years that people were still able to get over the fence, I think, and the dealers would go to all the tents in the morning. Was amazing weather and definitely a fantastic memory.
Went a few years later when it was muddy and it was a massive ball ache trying to get anywhere in the thick mud, which definitely changes your perception. Would still like to go again but probably find it difficult to not shower or have a dump for 3 days. š
