Had a Chevrolet Captiva for a short while. Tank and all the warning lights kept coming on lol.

mono-stereo Kia’s are good cars these days

Kia head hunted the chief designer from Audi a couple of years ago, that is why they all look premium . Alistair, unsurprisingly is talking through his hole when he says they are ugly.

The mechanic I’m on about just bought a fancy ford thing 4 wheel drive Ute kind of thing full spec. He waited 16 months and now he’s got it he says they’ve already updated it for a far better model/spec and his is top of the range.

Cankles-McJeggings interesting. Kia’s branding is good as well.

Good that we have the likes of them and Tesla if nothing else then to push ze Germans to up their own game a bit.

The jump in quality in the last decade for Hyundai/Kia group has been astronomical from where they were. There really is very little in it now. The Golf is one of the ugliest cars about. It went from being the best looking to just not evolving.

        BlainSA

Yeh quite good looking but have you touched one? Everything feels like it will break and probably will. The grills on them are a bit too bling/chav though.

Cankles-McJeggings they’re really popular in Australia, but then again so is racism. Calling a black male a “chimpanzee”. I mean how the fuck did that go unchallenged on here!

Cankles-McJeggings leccy version of the golf (id3) is surprisingly low rent inside and has an absolutely awful touch interface. Some say VW are having to cut corners in terms of quality to pay for diesel-gate.

I did an impulse purchase of a Kia e-Niro last year. Phoned up to ask lead time and was told 4 days. Couldn’t turn that down. Definitely made the right choice looking at lead times now.

I’d prefer a q4 etron but the similar spec model is 15-20k more.

I’ve taken sone stick about having a dad car despite having no kids but it’s really not that bad.

              It replaced a 320d.

I have had no issues with it at all. Yes the in car sat nab is shit but apple car play sorts that.

I’ve saved about 3k in diesel by going electric as well.

              alistair

Fuck off Alistair you boring tedious try hard failing cunt. It went unchallenged because anyone with a functioning cerebral cortex could see there was absolutely no racial intent in it whatsoever.

My dad bought a new Taos about a year ago and when he had it about 6 months the door handle inside snapped off. Unheard of for VW. He’s 86.

Hyundai/Kia have absolutely been killing it recently. The ioniq range and EV ranges are consistently well reviewed and they are causing European manufacturers a bit of pause, especially with their interior specs.

                Millsy

yeh totally. Also the parts are cheap, service is cheap, warranty is the longest and caused others to follow suit.
The only one I really don’t like is the Kona. I got one as a run around when my car was serviced and it was awful. Not sure why they built it but it’s nowhere near the standard of the i30 which was in my opinion, better than the golf. Depending on spec obvs.

Cankles-McJeggings yeah, I wasn’t struck by the Kona. Felt like an experiment. Ioniq 5 is a great EV and the recently announced 6 is getting rave first impressions. They are clearly doing something right.
