I was ready to write off the breaks-mix beforehand, but it’s so far actually my favorite. Lots of good stuff, and great flow.

    Homegrove

Not sure that’s for me. Surely it limits his tune choices for a mix massively. Obviously makes financial sense to release these. Not so much from an artistic perspective.

-si- I haven’t listened to any of the quattros. Am I right in thinking it’s 4 discs of music only from the bedrock label? Nothing else.

Take it this Quattro is absolute bobbins?

Redux. I’ve liked this the least of these. All in all Tempo and Breaks were really good. Halfway through Miles Atmospheric, and this doesn’t catch me at all.

So verdict is I’d deffo listen to the mixes through (they are on all streaming services), there is a lot of good stuff for some people here which you might want to purchase individually. I ticked off 6 tracks for my “current” playlist.

Homegrove quite liked that mix, and enjoyed the soundscape one. I think those ambient mixes are the only vaguely decent mixes from the Quattro series.

Haven’t listened ed but thinking along similar lines to you. Not like uncle John couldn’t afford to licence tracks from all and sundry to put out a new studio mix for us to enjoy…

The quality control at Bedrock is awful.

          Release some right old drivel.

You only have to listen to the transitions mixes where he plays only bedrock artists/tracks to see how this is going to pan out.

Thats quite harsh, derm. Some of those first hour mixes he does are quality.

Does he only play bedrock on transitions now?

-si- Thats quite harsh, derm. Some of those first hour mixes he does are quality.

Yeh I’m not talking about the ones where it’s just normal transitions. I’m talking about the ones where he just plays bedrock tracks end to end.
Proper get the Zeds in. Zzzzzzz. They only appeal to the sycophantic dick-in-hand fanboyz and Argentinians.

I watched that interview with Nick Muir a few weeks ago and he mentioned how the South Americans Just love Digweed’s sound. Didn’t realise Quattro was just music from his label. I do like his Apple mixes he does each month though.

I’ve really enjoyed all the Quattro releases, this one included. Some cracking tracks on there IMO.

I think you mean this one and for others who want to hear it

That’s the one. Nick’s the wizard behind the bedrock sound.

That’s a great chat, Nick is a bonafide legend, I could listen to him all day. The chap interviewing does a good job to be fair to him, you’d think his character would turn it into a psychopants wet dream but he stayed balanced and asks good questions.

Could be on the highest high, the lowest low or anything in between. Alfonso Muchacho will still be BSPF forever and a day.

That being said, his remix of Arkham Asylum is still mint.
