Along_the_Wire I think Erik was being sarcastic.
Have you started building your arsenal yet Amps?
Looking for signs the revolution is imminent
Mad_Cyril Merely polishing my helmet.
Along_the_Wire @Amps got it
The usual Tory ‘go to’ explanation
C_J It’s a blanket position, poster is irrelevant!!
Amps is there a comparator for the Tory’s or shall we just assume they’re money grabbing cunts who far exceed these totals?
erik When their Health Secretary is openly writing stuff like: “Our ambition should be to break down the barriers between private and public provision, in effect denationalising the provision of health care in Britain.” I think you can take it as defo.
Amps sounds like Wes Streeting’s latest speech on NHS reform when he returned from Singapore
Amps They don’t like it up ‘em
alistair What’s your point? We know Labour is full of corporate bootlickers. It has been for years. Your lot have won, you own everything and have infiltrated everywhere. Horror cunts at every turn.
Amps the NHS is failing in its current form and needs serious reform. It’s a service not a fucking shrine
I’m determined not to argue with people on the internet in 2024, so here is two things I believe which hopefully you all agree with.
Rich people (lets say for example those with an income >3x the average or median) shouldn’t be getting unlimited lifetime use of the NHS for free;
Poor people shouldn’t be getting lifetime use of the NHS for free if they don’t take steps to lose weight or stop smoking or drinking or abusing drugs.
C_J The danger is it leads to a two tier service which isn’t good. It also means those that pay a contribution would be at the front of the queue. I also don’t agree with the premise that people on say £90k a year or more should have to pay twice.
C_J
Rich people pay more for the NHS in taxes, why do they then have to pay more? Plus I would assume a lot of rich people use private healthcare where they can
That should apply to everyone not just the poor
C_J The danger is it leads to a two tier service which is never good. It also means those that pay a contribution would be at the front of the queue. I also don’t agree with the premise that people on say £90k a year or more with a full national insurance record should have to pay twice for care.
The two ‘things’ you’ve posted suggest your opening statement is far from true.
The alternative is difficult to believe.
