Learnt a couple of things about Australian politics a couple of weekends back (the wife’s cousin lives there)… the conservative right wing party are called the Liberals, and they’ve been voted out for the first time in a decade.

It’s actually a coalition of the liberal and national party. The LNP.

Do you see any big changes happening with the lefties back in power?

Gives India some hope with the BJP running things for two terms, and I’d imagine the Brits with the Tories. Close London-based friend is convinced the Tories are done next round.

Morrison destroyed the lnp all on his own. He didn’t appeal to younger generations same as the Tory filth won’t. He cooked his own goose by lying incessantly and getting caught out furnishing himself (ala Boris ) and has carried on doing so even since he’s left. Don’t think you’ll see the LNP in power here again for a while. Even Murdocks control over the media didn’t save them.
As to big changes the only one I voted for and care about is the anti corruption committee being installed. Something the coalition filth fought tooth and nail to stop. It’s even back dating corruption so you’ll see plenty of the LNP getting hauled over the coals over the next few years.

        Not that I’m really affected coz I’m in Port Douglas for the long weekend (somewhere they can’t afford to go to). But..I’m with the indigenous on this.
