Brasses of the world unite? I doubt it. I’m sure they have more things to worry about than punters in velour tracksuits and plants that mysteriously wither and die after a visit.

I wonder how many times Dave has been knocked back by a ‘lady of the evening’? His tracksuited visage appearing at her door like a reject from the Goldie Lookin Chain, and her thinking, there isn’t enough tea in China, all holes closed for business!

whatever plants that mysteriously wither and die after a visit.

An interesting calling card for a serial killer

Amps Dave ready for a night on the town donning his favourite trabs

LOL. This is the Amps we want to see back!

Apparently it’s kicking off a bit in these massive housing estates, where 1 positive case can get the whole tower block or compound shut.

But I haven’t seen anything in my ’hood. Nowadays, I rent a house in the old town (Gulou if anyone knows Beijing), where that is less likely to happen. People who test positive just get given home quarantine.

I do own an apartment way outside Beijing but don’t spend much time there (it was an investment property in an up-and-coming place that has doubled in value - I don’t rent it out, but I rarely go now there are such restrictions on coming back to Beijing).

Cankles-McJeggings Cris Balding is always worth following for China insight - he is usually bang on. He is an ex-Economics Professor of Peking University (China’s most prestigious) whose tenure was not renewed for speaking a bit too much ‘truth’ 😆 He still has tons of in the know contacts who dribble out information they want to get out but can’t post themselves. His take:

Yeh thought as much. A holiday in the revocation camp with complimentary tea and biscuits upcoming!

bosstrabs there is quite a bit of reporting on these events in the main media here, which is not something I’ve seen before. So I wasn’t sure if what was happening in China is bigger than anything seen before or because it’s covid related the U.K. media are reporting it more

Certainly looks like it’s kicking right off. Even Roland rat is sticking the boot in. ‘ The golden era is over’.

One of the reasons I moved to a house (even though it’s fucking expensive to live in a house here) was to avoid getting caught in a lockdown because one nong turned up positive and my whole block got sealed.

No wonder people are getting rowdy.

            Stay safe, Dave.

I still don’t understand where all the government paranoia stems from? Why are COVID cases being treated like leprosy out there, when the vaccines are working for the rest of the world?

Both Sinovac and Sinopharm are inactivated viruses (traditional vaccines), rather than mRNA. Possibly less efficacy?

Anyway I have a nice well-heated house in old Beijing and I’ve found a superb app that sends masseuses (guaranteed 24 hour negative nucleic acid test, and you can choose from their galleries) to your gaff, so I’m just playing PS5, eating delivered food from the bossest restaurants, and getting rubdowns from tidy bints.

Helps put a further stranglehold on the supply chain

RichM A nong is a Chinese peasant/farmer, so while I may be many unsavoury things, a ‘nong’ would be a somewhat off the mark description.
