  • Random Mixed Comp Poll Made Without Prejudice or Agenda

Disc 1 of Balance 005 is fantastic, I was so surprised at how good it was at the time. Still holds up. But disc 2 is a bit weak, albeit with a few great tracks.

GU007 is an all time classic though. Not fussed about the mixing etc, it’s all about the great tracks on both discs .

Always thought 007 was a mix of some good tracks badly put together. Sure I remember hearing Oakey fucked up the mix so bad they had to get some guy in the office to do it, which sounds about right.

Never listened to the balance mix as the essential mix was enough to put me off listening to him ever again. He clearly didn’t know what he was doing. Have been tempted to listen to it after the comments on here, but when some of those people really rate 007 it does make me think I’d be wasting my time.

    Balance 5 was amazing at the time. Agree it has aged somewhat but still a great example of the mixed comp genre

          Mad_Cyril just had that on in the car as it happens. Disc 1 is great until the final track. Disc 2 is MID but still enjoyable.

              BlainSA Flanker is a fucking beast you wuss.

              Perhaps but the transition into it is atrocious and completely tanks the vibe.

                To sum up Balance 005 is hugely overrated whilst 007 still sounds absolutely mustard.

                The poll results suggest otherwise!

                Out of the hundreds of mixes Millsy made, I did say some nice things about one or two of them.
