BlainSA I’m not listening to Fabric 20 after decades so I can answer this, Blain.

rhouses Flow/track selection, I’ll give. Not sure about ropey mixing though.

Saw Infusion, Evil Nine and Mark Knight in Sydney in 2004.

      Was a decent night tbf.

BlainSA top of my head, I remember thinking digweed struggled with mixing tech house, just didn’t have the oomph that say someone like Lee Burridge could do with the genre at the time. You’re right though, it’s probably the flow and selection which was the issue.

        Smallman1 Infusion, Evil Nine

Fucking hell, I bet the Aussies were going chicken oriental.

If there’s five things Aussies love, it’s dingoes, footy (meaning rugby), snags, Sheilas and bad breaks outfits.

If there is one electronic band I miss seeing live it’s Infusion. Fantastic stuff.

rhouses “I’ve heard a lot worse than Fabric 20 that’s for sure.”
That’s my take on the CD, Rhouses. I only gave it a re-listen after your awful review. Godspeed.

          bosstrabs bad breaks outfits.

Are you labelling infusion as a bad breaks outfit, dave?

          That’s an interesting take…

I’m assuming it’s a kind of clobber associated with antipodean breaks enthusiasts?

No, I am referring to Infusion as nonsense, though mostly on the basis that Aussies love them.

File with ‘the Ackerdacker’ and Men at Work. And Savage Garden.

“The mix is total shit with ropey mixing.”

“Actually, it does have my anthem of the year and the mixing is fine.”

                Lol!

I feel an update to Abdul’s coming on.

Smallman1 Evil Nine are from Brighton Dave.

I know. I said the Aussies love a bad breaks outfit. I didn’t say “Evil Nine are from Australia”.

                You forgot Pendulum.

                *vomit**

Why are we even wasting our time discussing what is possibly the worst fabric mix ever (digweed’s effort) and not talking about the truly genius mix that is Craig Richards Fabric 1?

Uff what a mix. Listening to it as we speak and it’s pure goosebumps.

Fabric 1 is my favourite. As for Pendulum, can only remember Vault being any good.

BlainSA Have a signed one, but I’m sure the tin is all rusty. He got booked by a prog-trance club in LA (Circus, if anyone remembers that), and almost got beaten up by the bouncer because he cleared the floor and refused to leave the decks for a couple of hours. lol.

Squeezed myself in at the end of the night and asked for an autograph, obliged with an ironic smile.
