          zackster I am a tad surprised that a frequent patron of Berghain is this concerned about gender distinctions in bathrooms.

          BH is BH. It’s distinct from say a gym or a swimming pool. The people that go there won’t have the same expectations and necessarily be the same people.

          Someone going to BH should be aware of, and ok with, the likelihood of there being a bunch of naked people inside. If not then they shouldn’t be there.

          But I don’t think many women just wanting to get changed and shower at the gym, or mothers taking their daughters to the swimming pool, would be as relaxed about there being people with cocks out where they are.

          By a similar token, just because some people take ecstasy, get naked and dance to loud techno in BH, you surely wouldn’t also advocate for that to be allowed in cafes, libraries, schools, churches and hospitals etc.

                        First things first, I couldn’t give a fuck what anyone wants to be or call themselves.

                        I take my youngest one to swimming lessons each Saturday. He’s 3 so can’t actually swim on his own so I get in with him and therefore you get a ton of hungover, miserable, dads who are pussy whipped to high hell getting changed together in the gents when they would all much rather be doing what they used to.

                        Why this tedious anecdote is relevant is that about 6 months ago a fully grown woman came into the gents to dress her son (was about 4) whilst all the gents were in and out of the shower.

                        A few things to note:

                        1. It was weird as fuck and it defo made me feel uncomfortable. All the blokes were like looking at each other bemused and you could see multiple just stopped getting dressed etc.

                        2. One of the blokes in the changing room pissed himself and made a snarky sexist comment and another few laughed which made matters worse.

                        3. A few wives who were outside the changing room were not happy and voiced their opinion to the woman on exit and a few choice words were said. Wasn’t great.

                        So my take on this ridiculous subject is having first hand experience of a woman enter a blokes room caused a right old scene on a Saturday afternoon then you are asking for a bucket load of shit if this became the norm. Yes not everyone is a perv but Christ on a bike if you think there wouldn’t be millions of issues on week one your completed deluded.

                        I couldn’t even begin to imagine sending my older kids to swimming lessons with the public there with no adult supervision. Again, not everyone is a perv but Jesus H there would be all sorts happening.
